Josh Reed (Jed Rhose) is an artist from Glendive, Montana, currently located in Dickinson, North Dakota with his wife, Austyn, and their little sweetheart, Raeleigh. As an artist, Reed experiments with a variety of mediums. Oil paint, watercolor, and ink are a few of the fine art mediums he uses to create landscapes, abstracts, and abstract renditions of NFTs.

 

More recently, Reed has jumped into the metaverse. Using the paintings he creates IRL (in real life), he edits them to fit more congruently to the digital world. By altering colors and adding new textures, he can create a new experience for the viewer. The paintings are multiplied into a variation of bright and exciting looks, which forces the viewer to break away from the original design.

As we all continue to evolve and change IRL, Reed will continue to do the same to his works of art in the metaverse.

 

When he is not creating, Reed is dedicated to making his wife and daughter laugh every chance he can get. He also loves to workout and push himself in the gym and on the track. Reed competed for Dickinson State University Track and Field and was on multiple conference winning teams, as well as a 2016 national qualifier in the 600m sprint. Reed’s competitive nature flows into every aspect of his life, and he hopes to inspire the next generation of artists with that same mentality.
